Underoath has re-teamed with producers Adam Dutkiewicz (guitarist for Killswitch Engage), and the drummer/producer Matt Goldman, and mixer David Bendeth for the new album, Lost in the Sound of Separation, September 2nd on Tooth & Nail/Solid State. This summer, the group will headline the Hot Topic stage on the Rockstar Energy Mayhem Tour, joining Slipknot, Disturbed, Mastodon, Dragonforce, Machine Head and many others. Next, they'll follow the Mayhem shows with a world tour of U.K., Germany, Italy, South Africa, Australia before returning to the U.S. for a headlining tour mid-fall. Underoath lead vocalist Spencer Chamberlain, guitarist Tim Mctague, bassist Grant Brandell, drummer Aaron Gillespie, keyboardist/sampler Chris Dudley and guitarist James Smith have solidly built their fan base from incessant touring and their unrelentingly intense live shows, establishing an unbreakable bond with their fans. One of 2006's key musical moments, Define the Great Line, the follow-up to the band’s 440,000 plus selling breakthrough They're Only Chasing Safety, was a mind-blowing song cycle that reset the notion of what hardcore, rock and metal, can be. The Florida-based sextet's disarming amalgam of mayhem and melody propelled their 2006 gold-certified and critically acclaimed album to a #2 debut on the Billboard Top 200 Chart, with one week sales exceeding 97,000 copies. The surrealistic video for the album's lead single, "Writing on the Walls" received a Grammy nomination for "Best Short Form Music Video" This combined sales of the group's three albums are now over one million copies!
